Facility Hriňová Neutralisation and electroflotation centre Facility Hrinová specialises in neutralisation of chemical solutions such as rinsing waters and concentrates created by galvanisation containing Chrome Cr6+ (capacity is 3m3/h), cyanides CN- (capacity 3m3/h) and other acidic and alkalic waters (capacity 10m3/h). Part of the unit is a sludge separator. Other activities include purification of oil-stained waters using mechanical, chemical and electrochemical separation of polluted water (capacity is 12m3/h).

Facility Slatinské Lazy Transport and disposal of liquid wastes, handling of solid wastes Main focus of Slatinské Lazy facility is valorisation and disposal of liquid waste. Eko-Salmo Ltd. runs a sewerage plant - Hydrovit 500 S - near the village of Slatinské Lazy. The sewerage plant is best suited for disposal of waste water, disposal of contents of fat interceptors, waste from septic tanks and cesspools. Hydrovit 500 S is a highly effective mechanico-biological plant; its maximum capacity is 900 m3 per day, that is 10,87 l/s.

Facility Zohor Solidification centre In Zohor, Eko-Salmo Ltd. has built a unit for treatment of dangerous wastes using methods of stabilisation - solidification. In the process of solidification additives are mixed with waste in order to dispose of dangerous substances of processed waste. For solidification, Eko-Salmo Ltd. uses hydraulic mortars, slag and solutions of alkalic silicates. We also use other additives such as calcium sulphate, accelerators of solidification and various other additives depending on the nature of processed waste. Every waste is analysed and a prescription is designed accordingly; then it is lab and functionally tested. Thoroughly mixed waste and additives create a solidificate.

Soil decontamination, soil purification on site and in-situ

 

On location Lešt Eko-Salmo Ltd. carried out decontamination of soil polluted by the Soviet army. The volume of contaminated soil was 25 000m3. Soil was purified by biological degradation; a method preferred to decontaminate oil-polluted soils and soils contaminated with oil substances.

The company also tackled the problem of contamination of underground waters with oil substances in Sliac - Vlkanová through in-situ decontamination. In three years approximately 24 000 m3 was purified. The company built and run a semi-automatic decontamination station.
